Description
During the Ottoman Empire was highly noted for its silversmith particularly in jewelry where they incorporated coins, silver being the most commonly used. Designs often with elaborate filigree work and incorporated Persian and Byzantine motifs. This pendant has a bit of both the ancient inspired Turkish coins that dangle as fringe from the Byzantine motifs square design. The pendant hangs from an 18" black cord.
